Refund Policy
At Sonentra Productions, we strive to ensure that every customer is satisfied with their purchase. However, due to the digital nature of our products, we have specific guidelines governing refunds, exchanges, and returns. This Refund Policy ("Policy") outlines the conditions under which refunds may or may not be granted. By making a purchase on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms set forth in this Policy.
This Policy applies to all products and services offered by Sonentra Productions, including but not limited to beat licenses, exclusive beat purchases, music loops, sample packs, custom production services, and any other digital products or services available through our platform. Please read this Policy in its entirety before making a purchase.
1. General Refund Policy for Digital Products
All sales of digital products through Sonentra Productions are considered final. Because our products are digital in nature and are delivered electronically, once a product has been downloaded, accessed, or made available for download, a refund cannot be issued under normal circumstances. This policy exists because digital products cannot be "returned" in the same manner as physical goods — once a file has been downloaded, there is no way to verify that all copies have been deleted from the customer's devices and storage systems.
We strongly encourage all customers to carefully review product descriptions, listen to available previews, read the applicable License Agreement, and examine all product specifications before completing a purchase. Our website provides audio previews, detailed descriptions, genre tags, BPM information, key signatures, and other relevant metadata to help you make an informed purchasing decision.
By clicking the "Purchase," "Buy," or equivalent button during checkout, you acknowledge that you are purchasing a digital product that will be delivered electronically and that you understand and accept this no-refund policy for successfully delivered digital products.
2. Exceptions and Eligible Refund Scenarios
While our general policy is that all digital sales are final, we recognize that exceptional circumstances may arise. Sonentra Productions may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund in the following situations:
2.1 Duplicate Purchases
If you accidentally purchase the same product twice, or if a technical error results in a duplicate charge, you are eligible for a full refund of the duplicate transaction. To qualify, you must contact us within seven (7) days of the duplicate purchase. We will verify the duplicate transaction and process the refund to your original payment method within five to ten (5–10) business days.
2.2 Defective or Corrupted Files
If the digital files you receive are corrupted, damaged, incomplete, or otherwise unusable, and we are unable to provide a working replacement, you may be eligible for a full refund. Before issuing a refund for defective files, we will first attempt to resolve the issue by providing replacement files, alternative download links, or technical assistance. If, after reasonable efforts, we are unable to deliver a functioning product, a full refund will be issued.
To report defective files, you must contact us within fourteen (14) days of purchase with a detailed description of the issue, including the product name, order number, and the specific problems you are experiencing with the files. Screenshots, error messages, or other documentation may be requested to help us diagnose and resolve the issue.
2.3 Incorrect Product Delivery
If you receive a product that differs from what you ordered — for example, you purchased a specific Beat but received a different Beat, or you purchased a WAV license but received only MP3 files — you are eligible for either a replacement of the correct product or a full refund. You must contact us within seven (7) days of the incorrect delivery to report the error.
2.4 Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe that a purchase was made on your account without your authorization, please contact us immediately. We take unauthorized transactions very seriously and will investigate all reports thoroughly. If we determine that the transaction was indeed unauthorized, we will issue a full refund and take appropriate security measures to protect your account. You may also need to contact your bank or payment provider to report the unauthorized activity.
3. Non-Refundable Products and Services
The following products and services are non-refundable under all circumstances, except in cases of unauthorized transactions or as otherwise required by applicable law:
Exclusive Beat Purchases: Once Exclusive Rights have been transferred and the Beat has been removed from the Sonentra Productions catalog, the transaction is irreversible. Exclusive purchases represent a permanent transfer of ownership and removal of the Beat from public availability. Because of the significant impact on our catalog and business, exclusive purchases cannot be refunded.
Non-Exclusive Licenses (Post-Download): Once you have downloaded the files associated with a Non-Exclusive License, the license is considered delivered and activated. Because the license grants you immediate usage rights upon download, refunds are not available after download has occurred.
Music Loops and Sample Packs (Post-Download): Once loop packs or sample packs have been downloaded, they are considered delivered and are non-refundable. These products are royalty-free production tools, and once downloaded, there is no way to ensure they have not been used in productions.
Custom Production Services: Any deposits or payments made toward custom beat production or other custom services are non-refundable once production work has begun. If you cancel a custom production project before work has started, you may be eligible for a partial refund of any deposits paid, minus any administrative fees. Once any portion of the custom work has been delivered or production has commenced, refunds will not be issued.
4. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, you must contact Sonentra Productions through one of the channels listed at the bottom of this page. When submitting a refund request, please include the following information to help us process your request as quickly as possible:
Your full name as used at the time of purchase. The email address associated with your account or used during checkout. Your order number or transaction ID. The name of the product(s) for which you are requesting a refund. A clear and detailed explanation of the reason for your refund request. Any supporting documentation, screenshots, error messages, or evidence relevant to your request.
We aim to respond to all refund requests within two (2) business days of receipt. Please note that response times may vary during periods of high volume. Once your request has been reviewed and a decision has been made, you will be notified by email of the outcome.
5. Refund Processing and Timeline
If your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow five to ten (5–10) business days for the refund to appear on your statement after we have initiated the refund. The exact time frame depends on your bank or payment provider and is outside of our control.
Refunds will be issued in the same currency and to the same payment method used for the original transaction. We are unable to issue refunds to a different payment method, bank account, or individual than the one used for the original purchase. If your original payment method is no longer active or available, please contact us to discuss alternative refund arrangements.
Any applicable processing fees, transaction fees, or currency conversion fees that were charged by your bank or payment provider at the time of purchase may not be refundable. Sonentra Productions is not responsible for any third-party fees associated with your transaction.
6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or credit card company. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with Sonentra Productions may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account and revocation of all active licenses.
If a chargeback is filed and Sonentra Productions determines that the charge was legitimate and the product was delivered as described, we will provide evidence to the payment processor to dispute the chargeback. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in legal action and the permanent blacklisting of the associated account, email address, and payment information from all Sonentra Productions services.
We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. In most cases, we can resolve issues much faster through direct communication than through the formal chargeback process, which can take weeks or even months to complete.
7. Product Quality Guarantee
Sonentra Productions takes pride in the quality of our products. Every Beat, Loop, and Sample Pack in our catalog undergoes quality review before being made available for purchase. Our products are delivered in high-quality audio formats as specified in the product listing.
While we guarantee that our files will be delivered in the advertised format and quality, we cannot guarantee that any particular Beat or sound product will be suitable for your specific creative vision, project requirements, or personal taste. Differences in creative preference, production style, or artistic direction are not grounds for a refund. This is why we provide audio previews and detailed product information — to help you make the best possible purchasing decision before committing to a purchase.
8. Promotional and Discounted Purchases
Products purchased during promotional events, sales, or with discount codes are subject to the same refund policy as full-price purchases. If a refund is approved for a promotional purchase, the refund amount will be the actual amount paid (i.e., the discounted price), not the original retail price.
Free products, bonus items, or products received as part of a bundled promotion are not eligible for refund, as no payment was made for these items. If a paid item in a bundle is refunded, any free or bonus items included in the bundle must also be deleted and may not continue to be used.
9. Changes to This Refund Policy
Sonentra Productions reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our Services and purchase of our products after any changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
We recommend reviewing this Policy before each purchase, especially if a significant amount of time has passed since your last visit. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was most recently revised.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights that you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. If any provision of this Policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, the mandatory legal provisions will take precedence. If you believe your consumer rights have been violated, please contact us and we will work to resolve the issue in compliance with applicable law.
